Il porticato rappresenta una situazione spaziale di transizione e collegamento tra interno ed esterno. Esso media ambienti ed esperienze diverse attraverso un'immagine architettonica fortemente connotata che si traduce in molteplici possibilità d'uso e, quindi, in una marcata sostenibilità in termini di valore comune. Tale condizione dello "stare tra", analogamente, risulta permeare il sito in oggetto nel rapporto con il proprio contesto. L'area, infatti, è collocata tra il tessuto urbano d'espansione sorto ai piedi della collina del centro storico, attorno all'asse viario di via Aldo Moro e le propaggini di verde intercluso, qui consolidate nella presenza del parco della Villa Comunale.
Il concept progettuale parte dalle suddette considerazioni, per fondare il complesso de "i portici" sulla transizione tra le linee naturaliformi del parco e del verde e le giaciture rette dell'impianto urbano e delle vie Aldo Moro ed Adige. Lo spazio allungato del portico si situa tra questi due ambiti acquisendo, così, significati che travalicano la scala locale e affondano le radici in riferimenti territoriali e paesaggistici.
The porch represents a space transition and a connection between interior and exterior. It mediates different environments and experiences through a highly connoted architectural image, this it translates into multiple use possibilities and, therefore, higly sustainable in terms of common value. Similarly, this condition of "staying between" is permeating the site in the relationship with its context. The area is located between the urban expansion fabrics at the foot of the hillside of the old town, around the street axis of Via Aldo Moro and the interwoven green beams, with the presence of the Villa Comunale park.
The design concept starts from the aforementioned considerations, in order to establish the complex of "porticos" on the transition between the natural lines of the park and the straight lines of the urban system. The elongated space of the porch is located between these two areas, thus gaining meanings on local scale and rooting into territorial and landscape references.
